    Board-certified in anesthesiology and pain medicine, Dr. Slevin is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Pennsylvania Medical Society, the Medical Society of New Jersey, the American Society of Anesthesiologists, and the Spine Intervention Society. These affiliations underscore his commitment to maintaining the highest standards of medical practice and staying abreast of the latest developments in his field.     Dr. Slevin was born and raised in Donegal, Ireland, where he developed a passion for medicine, which led him to pursue his education at University College Dublin. After earning his medical degree, he continued his studies at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Here, he completed a residency in Anesthesiology and Critical Care, followed by a fellowship in Interventional Spine and Pain Medicine between 2000 and 2006. His rigorous training provided him with a solid foundation in both clinical practice and academic medicine, preparing him for a distinguished career.

     

    From 2006 to 2011, Dr. Slevin served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care at the University of Pennsylvania. He also held key administrative roles, including Assistant Director of Acute Pain Services and Assistant Director of the Interventional Pain and Spine Fellowship Program. During his tenure, he developed his leadership skills and was elected to the Penn Senate Faculty Executive Committee and University Council. In these positions, he worked closely with senior university leadership, advising on critical issues such as faculty intellectual property ownership, campus sustainability initiatives, and financial strategies during the 2008 economic crisis.

     

    In 2014, Dr. Slevin co-founded North American Spine and Pain, which has since grown to employ more than 120 staff across three states. The practice sees over 150,000 patients annually and is dedicated to providing specialized care for a variety of conditions, including degenerative and herniated discs, extremity pain, nerve injuries, osteoarthritis, sciatica, spinal stenosis, sports-related trauma, sprains, strains, and tendinitis. Under his leadership, North American Spine and Pain has become a leader in the field, known for its patient-centered approach and commitment to high-quality care.

     

    Dr. Slevin's professional achievements are complemented by his active involvement in several medical organizations. He is double-board certified in anesthesiology and interventional pain medicine and has served as the Spine Intervention Society's appointed American Medical Association delegate. Additionally, he has held positions on the Spine Intervention Society's board of directors and currently serves on the board of directors for PartnerCare. These roles demonstrate his ongoing dedication to advancing the field of pain management and his commitment to professional excellence.

Now residing in Bucks County, he continues to make significant contributions to both his professional field and his community.
